Faculty learning opportunity: A collaborative book read on teaching with AI
Join a 4-week, asynchronous, author-facilitated communal reading through Perusall, a teaching tool for reading and thinking collaboratively
CETL is seeking faculty who would like to participate in a nationwide, asynchronous conversation about teaching with artificial intelligence. From May 13th to June 9th, participants will have access to the full digital text of the new book Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning (Johns Hopkins University Press). Authors José Antonio Bowen and C. Edward Watson will be facilitating, and you will be able to ask questions, provide feedback, and exchange ideas with other readers.
A number of TCNJ faculty already use Perusall in their classes. This social annotation tool allows for a collaborative reading and discussion through threaded annotations. The platform encourages engagement and offers analytics for a system of accountability, providing a more interactive and transparent option for reading discussions.
